Dynam Creativity Programmes for Schools

“If we want to rise from being largely followers to becoming leaders , it is imperative that we put focus on Creativity and Innovation amongst Grade 1-8 children in schools”

The Dynam Creativity Programme for Schools integrates the Art of Science and the Science of Art creating a whole-brained, experiential learning approach.

Since 1970, the Dynam Creativity in Schools Programme has inspired, and motivated thousands of students in Karnataka and other southern states to think differently at an early stage and engage with creativity.

Schools typically assign classes across grades 1-10 and Dynam instructors visit every class once a week through the academic year to deliver hands-on learning fusing Science and Art. Over 5,000 children are coached each week … and our students speak for us!

Dynam Creativity Programmes in Schools

Since 1970, Dynam has been running weekly science and creativity classes in schools across various grades. The classes focus on hands-on learning of complex concepts like Sound, Centre of Gravity, Hydraulics… through simple experiments that trigger thought and an understanding of the theory. This method contrasts with the traditional protocol of driving theory down first at the risk of student losing interest in the subject.

In these classes, the focus is on creating WOW moments for students – a proven way to activate necessary neurons to get them interested, absorbed, energised and therefore become more creative.

Theories learned in Dynam classes are seldom forgotten because they came after WOW moments of discovery and students themselves wanted to figure why! Experiments on each topic span 4 weeks and at the end of the four weeks every student carries home a kit on the topic to continue to explore!

In our classes many inspired students design their own experiments. These experiments and materials are reviewed, refined, reintroduced in future classes and also taken into teacher training workshops and corporates to demonstrate the creative nature of the young mind.

Dynam Creativity instructors coach over 5,000 students a week in Bengaluru and the programmes are much loved and appreciated. Students who are over 40 years old, with children of their own talk of their golden days – many of which were spent in Dynam classes at their schools.

Typical classes cover…

Our Creative Science programme introduces students to STEM through hands-on exploration, design thinking, and playful experimentation. We follow a graded approach aligned to cognitive development levels, ensuring that concepts are absorbed meaningfully.
These modules aren’t just activities—they’re stepping stones for young minds to connect observation with wonder, and theory with imagination.

Grades 1–2:

Early imagination and motor skills are developed through kits like Designo, Mobile, Clock Face, and Shape Coltex, covering themes of mechanics, patterns, sound, and basic construction.

Grades 3–4:

We introduce foundational physics and logic with tools like the Air Kit, Soroban, and Centripetal Force, bringing in elements of flight, motion, and structure.

Grade 5:

Deeper science concepts like Magnetism, Electromagnetism, and Microscopy are explored alongside creative modules like Mandala Drawing and Advanced Football Mechanics.

Grades 6–8 upwards

Students engage in applied science and design with topics like Area, Volume, Hydraulics, and building Fidget Spinners, encouraging precision, innovation, and real-world application.

Curiousity is the wick in the candle of learning.
